Lejos queda ya el rock de bandas como Sau, Els Pets o Sopa de Cabra. La música en catalán se ha tomado un respiro, se ha reciclado y ha renacido en nuevas e interesantes propuestas. Rosa-Luxemburg es una de esas formaciones que, junto a Manel, Mishima y muchos otros, demuestran la buena salud de la nueva escena independiente en catalán. Catapultados por el concurso Sona 9, el cuarteto barcelonés nos agita con un disco eficaz y personal que deja entrever un carisma envidiable. Guitarras rockeras y teclados psicodélicos que se combinan dando forma a un disco más rompedor y sólido que los anteriores, y al que no le faltan letras alocadas, estribillos atractivos (aunque, por qué no decirlo, también algo reiterativos) para conseguir un conjunto de lo más recomendable. Y es que Rosa-Luxemburg se atreven con todo: desde una crítica a la descarga de música ilegal (“ADSL”, primer corte del larga duración) hasta la hipotética quema de una ciudad en “Com cremar aquesta ciutat”. Destacar la coherencia general del disco en el que es, sin duda, el mejor trabajo de la banda hasta la fecha.
Thank you. I know that intuition is asbtluoely trustworthy, but I'm not sure why many times I don't take the time out needed to listen. Perhaps you're right; perhaps it is at times easier to be in chains. We find a level of comfort in conformity security in its acceptance. And it's not that we particularly desire to be in conformance or to be conventional, but the courage to accept the uncertainty of the degree of our nonconformity to which listening may lead us is daunting and challenging. So, we find ourselves seeking (or speaking for myself, I often find myself merely seeking) what will in reality be only longer chains, not true freedom not a true, full connection (and listening) to intuition, the knowing within which faith is anchored. We settle for bits and pieces so that we can fill in the gaps as our need for conformity comfort dictates; we tether ourselves to the accepted so that we have some assurance of acceptance. But I think we find the courage to be free by acknowledging our will to be free and trusting the wisdom of truth to which intuition leads.
